Limitations and alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of LiveCivetta , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for LiveCivetta:
- Cookie consent banner (Complianz plugin): Interactive controls are nested within other interactive controls, which may cause issues for screen reader users (WCAG 4.1.3). The issue is internal to the Complianz third-party plugin and cannot be corrected by the website administrator. The issue has been reported to the plugin developer. Contact us at info@famigliabalestra.it for assistance.
- Availability calendar on apartment booking pages: The month/year selection dropdown does not have an accessible label, making it difficult to identify for screen reader users (WCAG 1.3.1). The issue is internal to the WP Simple Booking Calendar third-party plugin and cannot be corrected without modifying the plugin core. The issue has been reported to the plugin developer. Contact us at info@famigliabalestra.it to request availability information.
- “Show more” expandable content block on the e-Bike rental page: The screen reader notification message for the expandable content block is displayed in English regardless of the page language. The message is hardcoded in English in the Kadence Blocks plugin and cannot be overridden without modifying the plugin core (WCAG 3.1.2). The issue has been reported to the plugin developer. The content is fully accessible via keyboard navigation using the “Mostra altro” button.
- Interactive maps embedded via Google MyMaps iframes (pages: Bike Rental, Apartments): The embedded maps contain internal controls without accessible names, non-compliant ARIA attributes, a link with insufficient color contrast (3.44:1), and a link not distinguishable from surrounding text without color (1.66:1) (WCAG 1.4.1., WCAG 1.4.3, WCAG 4.1.2, WCAG 4.1.3). The issues are internal to the Google MyMaps third-party service and cannot be corrected by the website administrator. As an alternative, a text link to open the location directly in Google Maps is provided on each page. Use the “Open in Google Maps” link provided on each page, or contact us at info@famigliabalestra.it.
- Season selector labels on the homepage image slider: The “Summer” and “Winter” labels on the season toggle are displayed at 9px, below the recommended minimum text size for optimal readability. because Design constraint to maintain visual proportions of the slider component. The labels are fully accessible via ARIA attributes and keyboard navigation; visual resize is available via browser zoom. Use browser zoom (Ctrl + or Cmd +) to increase text size, or use keyboard navigation with arrow keys.
